Port Arthur, TX native Clifford Antone grew up on the gulf coast sounds of Blues music. In 1975 he opened Antone’s Nightclub in downtown Austin, kicking things off by booking Zydeco powerhouse Clifton Chenier for a full week. Over the years, legends such as Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed and Buddy Guy would grace the stage along with up and coming artists like Stevie Ray Vaughan and the Fabulous Thunderbirds.
